Coastal Dance Rage now offers a summer intensive that consists of three days of action –packed classes taught by celebrity faculty. Our focus is educating and encouraging dancers to work hard in every amazing class we offer. Students will take Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap & Hip Hop classes.

Each day will consist of four exciting classes and will be followed with rehearsals where each student will audition to be cast in a piece of choreography taught by the CDR faculty. Auditions will be held the first day of the intensive for casting placement. All participants will perform in the Coastal Dance Rage Gala Dinner Show on the last night of the event.

The excitement doesn’t end there! The first evening CDR will host a series of fun events including a faculty “Pillow Talk Pizza Party” where the students wear pajamas and are invited for Q&A session with the faculty members. On the second evening Blake McGrath will be hosting the “Rage Freestyle Battle”, an improvisational dance off competition between two age levels (7 to 13, 14 and up) in jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip-hop. Each dancer will be given one minute to perform to a song (Music will be selected by CDR) in any style and with a surprise element of not knowing prior which song will be selected. There will be three rounds of competition with a process of elimination in each round to determine the winner. Cash scholarships will be awarded to 3rd, 2nd and 1st place winners. Entry fee for the Rage Freestyle Battle is $40.

The final event is the anticipated Coastal Dance Rage Gala Dinner Show, which will be held the last evening of the intensive program. We are excited to announce that the emcee and host will be a surprise celebrity guest! This must see night of dazzling entertainment is sure to bring the audience to their feet! You will be entertained by special surprise celebrity and faculty performances. All students will perform in one of the pieces selected and choreographed by CDR faculty. Gala Dinner Show tickets are $75 per person at the time of registrations and $80 at the event and includes an elegant dinner and a closed bar will be available to adults 19 and over. In addition, scholarships that have been hand-picked throughout the intensive week by CDR faculty will be announced after the live entertainment.

Scholarships awarded include: Agent recommendation Scholarship (win an opportunity to be noticed by top LA agents); Millennium Scholarship (one week scholarship of classes at the famous Millennium Dance Studio in LA), CDR Convention Scholarship (weekend scholarship at any of our conventions); Apprentice Scholarship (opportunity to assist CDR faculty at all CDR conventions as well as perform in all faculty performances). The CDR Ultimate Scholarship (this is awarded to the top junior, teen and senior dancer of the week) The CDR Ultimate Scholarship winner will receive a year-long scholarship to all CDR conventions and events, an exclusive CDR Ultimate Jacket and additional merchandise items.
